Using a minimum of two sentences, describe how to write the function, f(x) = (x + 2)^2 - 3, in standard form.

First, simplify the (x+2)(x+2) with FOIL:
f(x)=(
x^(2) +2x+2x+4)-3
Combine like terms
f(x)=
x^(2) +4x+1
Then you have standard form.
