What was American society’s prevailing view of women in the 1950s? (1 point)

Women should have employment opportunities equal to those of men.

Women and men should be paid the same wage for the same work.

Women should work outside of the home and contribute to the family income.

Women should dedicate themselves to caring for their family and home.

The correct answer is D.

Women during the 1950s in the US had a very small share of participation in the labor markets. In fact, in the 'American Dream' times, women from middle, high-income and accomodated social classes almost never worked and their functions were to take care of their house and to have the perfect family. There did not attend higher education or seek for a job.
