How did the bc influence the students of Soweto?

The BC movement was influential because it promoted the idea that Africans should be free and that apartheid shouldn't exist. When the students learned that Afrikaans would be a language of instruction at their schools, they protested and were supported by BC movements because Afrikaans was seen as the language of the oppressor, and they wanted only English.
