Treat it like a triangle with the points at either end of the hypotenuse. Then the horizontal leg has length 7, and the vertical leg 8.
Apply Pythagoras and find length is sqrt ( 7*7+8*8 )=10.63 (or sqrt (113) if you want to be exact )
