y=2x+7
2 is slope
parallel lines have the same slope
y=2x+(?)

(0,?) <- y intercept
set y2-y1/x2-x1= 2
x-2/0-4=2
x-2/-4=2
time -4 both sides
x-2=-8
+2 both sides
x=-6

equation of line is y=2x-6
