Four years from now, John will be twice as old as Sally will be. If Sally was 10 eight years ago, how old is john? I need help writing the equation out and figuring it out?

Sally was (10) 8**** years ago so Sally is -18- now and John is 32?
John x2 older than sally four years from now is 36?
I don't really know because you put
"If Sally was 10 eight years ago, how old is john?" but before that it is talking about the four years thing. Probably wrong but it gives you kinda the idea of what to do. Sorry
