2x - 3(y - 2x) + (-5)(-2y)

you multiply -3(y - 2x) first and then (-5)(-2y)

2x - 3y + 6x + 10y

Combine like terms

2x + 6x - 3y + 10y
8x + 7y

8x + 7y is your answer

Simplify everything.

Add like terms.

(2x + 6x) + 10y
