B is the value of q because you add the 4.4 and the 4.4 which u get 8.8

Given the figure in which distance from centre to chord is 4.4 units

we have to find the value of q

As radius from centre to the chord perpendicularly bisect the chord


AB=2AE=2(8.25)=16.5

From the figure, it can be seen that the distance from center to the chord is equal that is in measure.

∴ Using the property that if the distance from the center to the chord is equal, then the chords are always in equal in measure.

As measure of AB is 16.5

⇒ Measure of CD is also 16.5 units
