Aligned with the scientific method, a scientist has 2 choices when making a conclusion, to either accept or reject the hypothesis. What does it mean to make either of these conclusions? Is it accurate to say that a hypothesis is either “true” or “false”? Explain. Discuss with your classmates. Reply

As a practical field geologist I know that whenever I am working in the field, say mapping the rocks ie showing the distribution and extent of the rocks and their structures, and the type  of rocks, I am constantly forming hypotheses and if it is an active mine such as an open pit, I can prove or disprove my theories because the rocks will be exposed in 3-D revealing their evidence for all to see.
