so we are setting up and equation for c= total price
let's start with what we know
Gary has to pay $100 to have access to his boat he only pays this once so this would plug into the equation like this c= 100
then we need to add the $25 he has to pay every t times he uses the boat. this plugs into the equation we just made like this c=100+25t
this means that total cost is 100 plus 25 times how every many times he used the boat.
