Jack was getting dressed in the dark and needed to get his socks. There were 18 pairs of socks in the drawer: 8 black pairs, 5 brown pairs, 3 blue pairs, and 2 white pairs. If he randomly picks 1 pair of socks from the drawer, what is the probability that he will pick a pair of blue socks?

Hello,
We know that there are 18 socks total , and there are 3 blue pair socks
P(picking a blue pair socks): 3/18 or 1/6. As a result, the probability that he will pick a pair of blue socks is 1/6. Hope it help!

Because there are 18 socks, 18 is the denominator, and there are 3 blue so blues the numerator. So the chance of getting a blue sock is 3/18 chance. I hope this helps.
