During Persian Gulf war, 0.01% of soldiers were killed in battle. During war, causes of deaths are divided into two major groups; battle death and non battle death. Battle death refers to those deaths that occurred as a direct result of war combat while non battle deaths refers to those deaths caused by other means. During Persian Gulf war, most of the deaths recorded are non-battle deaths.
