Compare and contrast the views of john searle and rene descartes on dualism.

The concept of dualism according to John Searle is that it should strictly abide by the principles of the supervenience theory in which "a single substance must be composed of both mental and physical aspects." On the other hand, Rene Descartes suggested that these two aspects should be distinguished from one another.
