The correct answer is - c. found in the interior of continents.

The grasslands are vast areas covered with predominantly with grasses, which can be short, medium height, or tall grasses. They can be at places that are warm throughout the whole year, or places that experience season changes. What characterizes them all and they share in common, is that they are located in the interior parts of the continents, and the amount of precipitation is relatively low. The grasslands, unlike the forests or shrubs for example, have not been around for a very long time, geologically speaking, and they are a relatively young biome, that only appeared around 20 million years ago.
