-4p + 6 = 18

When solving this I got -3 but on my paper I got it from I've already used that number (-3). Does someone mind telling me if I got the right answer or not..?

-4p + 6 = 18
-4p = 18-6 = 12
p = 12/-4
= -3
Answer: -3
Correct answer.
