In the novel Slaughterhouse Five, the setting become a vital part of the novel. It shows that the character of Billy Pilgrim was travelling back and forth in time. There is a part in the novel where the place Dresden in Germany was bombed and a lot of people was killed due to the bombing. Also, it also pictures how the character will die and by time travelling he already knows that he will be killed by a laser gun.
