the diameter of a bicycle tire is 22 inches. About how many revolutions does the wheel make during a ride a ride of 600 feet? Use 3.14 for pi. Explain your answer

so the tire has a diameter of 22 inches, now the radius of that will he half the diameter, or 11inches

so, the circumference of it will be
\bf C=2\pi r\implies 2\cdot 11\pi \implies 22\pi

how many revolutions.. on 600 feet, well, how many inches in 600 feet?

1ft is 12inches, so 600 * 12 is 7200 inches

now, one revolution is just a go-around the circle or 2π, a full circle
we know the circumference covered in a full circle with radius of 11, or diameter of 22, in a go-around is 22π

how many 22π are there in 7200 inches? well
\bf \cfrac{7200}{22\pi } that many
