In the poem “There will come soft rains”, Sara Teasdale criticized the part where the house in the poem is being destroyed. In the story it explains that no matter how long the house stays functional it comes to a point that the automated house can no longer function on its own and become broken. The story was publicized during the Hiroshima bombing and shows the connection of the two.
