A bird flies from the South Pole to the North Pole. Part of the journey is 1000 miles that takes 2 weeks. What is the bird’s velocity in that time? Show work for credit and include final units.

Based from the basic formula and relationship of distance, time and velocity, it is said that velocity is equal to distance traveled over time covered. The bird has a velocity of 1000/2 or equivalent to 500 miles per week. This can also be expressed in some other units such as km/h. m/s etc.
