He says that he wants to increase diversity in the company, but that's just ridiculous. If we go out and hire just anybody, then we might as well forget all about maintaining our excellent corporate culture,too. This argument is an example of what kind of logical fallacy?

The counter argument does not talk about what was stated at all. Instead, it is trying to refute the idea of hiring "just anybody". It isn't trying to provoke an emotional response, so it isn't loaded language. It didn't make a false correlation between two happenings. In false premise, the premise for the argument is wrong.

In this case, specifically, it was attempted to refute an argument that wasn't made in any point, which would be the one of hiring just anyone.

Therefore, the correct answer would be:

Straw man
