Colton swam once along the length of a pool that has a perimeter of 124 yd. The width of the pool is 20 yd. How many yards did Colton swim??

Subtract both widths of the pool from the perimeter.
124-40= 84yd
Divide the two lengths of the pool by two to get the measurement of one length.
84/2= 42yd
Colton swam 42 yards.
