We start by dividing 8 by 9 which is 0. We write 0 at the top followed by a decimal point.
We then use the first decimal place, as 8.0.
9 goes into 80 eight times, so we write this 8 at the top.
We work out the remainder, and repeat the process
We will get a recurring value of 0.8888...
