PLEASE help me with this question. I'm stuck and don't know the answer.

How does hyperbole affect the meaning of this sentence from The Count of Monte Cristo? Dantès in his cell heard the noise of preparation,—sounds that at the depth where he lay would have been inaudible to any but the ear of a prisoner, who could hear the splash of the drop of water that every hour fell from the roof of his dungeon.
A. It reminds readers that prisoners have unusual powers.
B It shows how sensitive to change prisoners may be.
C. It demonstrates the imaginative wanderings of a prisoner's mind.
D. It reveals the nervousness with which Dantès approaches new things.

I think it is b

Answer: B) It shows how sensitive to change prisoners may be.

Explanation: A hyperbole is a type of figurative language that consists in exaggerating an event or a statement. In the given excerpt we can see an example of hyperbole in the phrase "...who could hear the splash of the drop of water that every hour fell from the roof of his dungeon." This hyperbole shows how sensitive to change prisoners may be, so the correct answer is option B.
