SOLUTION

From the diagram above, the length of the wooden box is given as x, so we have to find x.

We will use SOHCAHTOA to find x.

From the right-triangle above, the hypotenuse is x and the adjacent side is 10.

So we have that CAH


\begin{gathered} cos35\degree=(adjacent)/(hypotenuse) \\ cos35=(10)/(x) \\ (cos35)x=10 \\ x=(10)/(cos35) \\ x=12.2\text{ feet} \end{gathered}

Hence the answer is 12.2 feet
