I believe it's socially conscious. It's definitely not spiritually vacant or morally bereft as the people of that time we're both religious and set for themselves high moral standards.

Answer:

Emotionally rich.

Step-by-step explanation:

Literature before the bourgeois revolution of 1789 in France was very varied, although not yet socially conscious or focused (like realism later would be), and very emotionally intense. From the works of Cervantes and Shakespeare, to those of Molière or Voltaire, literature was a matter of (almost exclusively) privileged and learned men who explored the human psyche, emotions, morality, and spirituality from diverse perspectives.
