The equation of the line given is:

8x-10y=-60

Let's re-arrange it in the slope-intercept form [ y = mx + b ]:

\begin{gathered} 8x-10y=-60 \\ -10y=-8x-60 \\ y=(-8x)/(-10)-(60)/(-10) \\ y=(8)/(10)x+6 \\ y=(4)/(5)x+6 \end{gathered}

The slope is 4/5 and the y-intercept is 6.

The slope of the line parallel will be the same!!

Thus, the slope of the line parallel is:

(4)/(5)
