You have to set up proportions or two fractions equal to each other. x will be equal to a number of chocolates Will gives to the kids.

(x chocolates)/(60 chocolates) = (30 percent)/(100 percent)
Cross multiply and they you'll get 1800 = 100x
Divide both sides by 100 and you get x = 18
Therefore Will gives 18 chocolates to the kids

30% of 60 is 30/100 or 3/10 f 60
3/10 times 60=180/10=18
he gave 18
