I'm aware that you need to use Asquare+Bsquare=

Csquare (or at least I honk is), but I don't know how to tell which one's is C and which one is A or B.

The hypotenuse is always the c value (the one that doesnt connect to the right angle). For a and b, it doesnt really matter.
