30% of the cars in a particular parking lot are red. If there are 12 red cars, how many cars are parked in the parking lot?

There are 40 cars parked in the parking lot. You can easily solve this problem by dividing 12 by 0.3. (You find the decimal 0.3 from 30% by dividing 30 by 10.)
