The actual trees should be planted should be planted
47ft
apart based on the 1cm=10ft scale. This problem can be solved by using simple mathematics of scale which use to compare the scaled distance to the actual distance. If 1cm equal 10 ft then the scaled distance of 4.7cm must be multiplied by 10 in order to find the actual distance of 47ft.
