Answer:

The probability is 0.24.

Explanation:

Given,

The numbers of pink jelly beans = 16,

Blue jelly beans = 34,

Black jelly beans = 24,

Purple jelly beans = 26,

Total jelly beans = 16 + 34 + 24 + 26 = 100,

Hence, the probability that a jelly bean chosen at random will be black

=(^(24)C_1)/(^(100)C_1)

=(24)/(100)

=0.24

Well out of 100 jelly beans 24 are black so it would be a 24 out of 100 chance to pick a black jelly bean. But that can be simplified down to a 6 out of 25 chance. So your answer is 6/25. Hope this helped. ;)
