Answer: b. have enough food to eat.

According to the competition exclusion principle, no two species can obtain the same ecological niche. Ecological niche refers to the type of role played by the organisms towards their surrounding environment like the type of food they eat, habitat acquired and adaptations. A food can be a limiting factor which can limit the growth and abundance of the organisms.

Food being the ecological niche can create competition among different organisms, the increase supply of food will decrease the competition, because different organisms will receive enough food to eat.
