I have a question about alegbra... I need to use substitution to solve the system of equations x + y = 12 & x - y = 2. pls show work..

x= 12-y x=2+y
2+y=12-y
y=10-y
2y=10
y=5

x-y=2
x-5=2
x=7

X = 7 Y = 5 just add to get rid of a variable
