The expression 2(l + w) is used to calculate the perimeter of a rectangle, where l is length and w is width. If the length is Fraction 2 over 7 unit and the width is Fraction 3 over 7 unit, what is the perimeter of the rectangle in units?

1.42857 = 1.43 should be the answer

P=2(L+W)
L=2/7
W=3/7

remember that (a/b)+(c/b)=(a+c)/(b)

P=2(2/7+3/7)
P=2((2+3)/7)
P=2(5/7)
P=(2/1)(5/7)
P=10/7
perimiter is 10/7 units
