Cooperativeness can be defined as the degree to which the individual attempts to satisfy the other person's concerns. This feature is part of the Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI) along with Self-Directedness (SD) and Self-Transcendence (ST).

And has 5 subscales:

Social acceptance vs. intolerance;

Empathy vs. social disinterest;

Helpfulness vs. unhelpfulness;

Compassion vs. revengefulness;

Principles vs. self-advantage.

For its importance, Cooperativeness was correlated most powerfully with perceived social support. And low cooperativeness is associated with all categories of personality disorder.
