A parking spot has an area of 16 square ft. if its 2 ft across, how long is the parking lot?

The parking lot is 8 feet long. Area is found by multiplying length times width, so you would work backwards and divide the area (16) by the width (2) to get the answer.

it is 8 ft long (2*8 = 16)
