There are various materials used in making an oceanic art it depends on the area and the culture of the area. Some used rock as a material and also some use not long-lasting materials like painted and carved wood, bark-cloth, vegetable fibers, feathers, and bone. These materials are used in the monumental lava-stone statues on Easter Island.
