Momentum is the quantity of motion that an object contains. It is calculated by the product of mass and the velocity of the object moving. It has units of kg-m/s. We calculate as follows:

Momentum = mv
Momentum = 32.0 kg (9.50 km/hr) ( 1 hr / 3600s )( 1000 m / 1 km ) = 84.44 kg-m/s
