3x+5-3x+4

We need to combine like terms. Like terms are the ones that have the same variable, in this case the terms that contain "x". Also like terms are the independent numbers.

Thus we need to combine 3x -3x which results in 0.

Also we need to combine 5+4 which results in 9.

Thus we simplify the expression as follows:


3x+5-3x+4=9

Answer: 9
