It’s true that Bottled water is considered both, a renewable but a non-renewable product because plastic is non-renewable but water is renewable.

Scientists consider water a renewable resource just to a point. It renews due to the rain cycle. The problem with water is that planet Earth is 80% water, but most of it is salty water. Barely a 5% is clear water, ready to drink. Water has to pass through a very expensive process of desalinization. That is why we need to take care of water because many people in the world do not have access to clear water.

Plastic, a derivated from petroleum is a non-renewable resource, it is just recyclable.
