You would first have to multiply 7 and w, which would be: 7 • w = 7w
Then, you would have to multiply 7 and -6, which would be: 7 • -6 = -42.
Therefore, by using the distributive property to get rid of the parenthesis in 7(w-6), you would end up with: 7w - 42.
