If 3 out of 5 doctors use brand X aspirin, it means
(3)/(5)=0.6=60% of doctors use brand X aspirin.

So, what is 60% of 2000?

(0.6)(2000)=1200

Hence, 1200 doctors (out of 2000) uses brand X aspirin.

All you have to do is find 3/5 of 2000. Divide 2000 by 5 to get 400. Multiply 400 by 3 to get 1200 and 3/5 of 2000.

So 1200 doctors use brand X aspirin.
