Taking this as a prism
height (12 in - 2 in )= 10 in
width ( 8 in - 2 in) = 6 in,
length of 5 in.

volume of brick = (12 in)(8 in)(5 in) - (6 in)(10 in)(5 in)
= 180 in^3
