A. When different crops came into the soil, it absorbed different nutrients than another crop, thus allowing the nutrients for the other crop to regenerate.

The correct answer is A, as the benefit of crop rotation was that different crops could be grown on the same land.

The crop rotation consists of alternating plants of different families and with different nutritional needs in the same place during different cycles, avoiding the soil to be exhausted and that the diseases that affect a type of plants to be perpetuated in a determined time.

In this way the fertilizer is better used (by using plants with different nutrient needs and different root systems), weeds are better controlled and problems with pests and diseases are reduced (since no host is found, is more difficult to survive).
