The reason the 2nd number is plus two because you start with a odd number like 3 so to get the next odd number you have to add 2 get it.
X+X+2=188
2x+2=188
Subtract 2
2x= 186
Divide by 2
X= 93
Numbers are 93,95
Check 93+95=188
