A 100-foot ramp is tilted at a 45° angle. How high is the top of the ramp from the ground?
The top of the ramp is (Answer) feet above the ground.
Do NOT estimate/round your answer. If necessary, enter your answer as a simplified radical. Use sqrt( ) to represent square root. Example: 32 – √
32 would be entered 3sqrt(2). Do not use any spaces in your answer. Rationalize the denominator if necessary.

Setting up a right triangle, the 100 would be the hypotenuse, the 45 would be the angle of elevation, and you're looking for the opposite side.
Sin 45 = x/100
100sin45 = x
100 * ✓(2)/2 = x
50 ✓2 =x
x = 50✓2 ft
