Add 40+90=130 and then divide that by 180. 180-130= 50
Because angle 1 is along a straight line. Straight lines have a angle measurement of 180. Angle 2 is a right angle and there for is 90 degrees so 40 (The first angle) + angle 1+ angle 2= 180. Just substitute. Hope this helps :)
