The employee will receive $750 when he worked for 50 hours.

Copy and complete the table.

In this word problem, we are to copy and complete the table for an employee who receives a certain amount after working for 40 hours.

In the table, we can see that for the first 10 hours, he was paid $150. For 20 hours, he was paid $300. For 30 hours, he was paid $450.

We can see that there is a regular common increment of $150 in his payment as works for an extra 10 hours.

Now, if he works for 40 hours and gets paid for $600. Then working for 50 hours will result to a payment of = $600 + $150 = $750.

Therefore, the employee will receive $750 when he worked for 50 hours.

Given data of working hours and money earned is,

10 hours of work gets $150.00 paid.

20 hours of work get $300.00 paid.

30 hours of work get $450.00 paid.

40 hours of work get $600.00 paid.

To find:-

50 hours of work gets how much pay.

From the given table it is found,

\begin{gathered} 10\text{ hours = 150} \\ 20\text{ hours = }300 \\ 2*10\text{ hours = 2}*150 \\ 30\text{ hours =450} \\ 3*10\text{ hours = 3}*150 \end{gathered}

From this it is clear that the hours are increasing at the rate of $150 for 10 Hours.

So to find the money paid for 50 hours, it is given that working for over 40 hours of work will be paid time and half. so we get,

\begin{gathered} 50hours=5*150+(150)/(2) \\ 50\text{hours}=750+75 \\ 50\text{hours}=825 \end{gathered}

So the required working hours is $825.00.

So the required option is C.
