What are the differences between an isometric drawing and an orthographic drawing ?

What are the similarities between an isometric drawing and orthographic drawing ?

Thanks - full explanation and examples would help me a lot.

Although both isometric and orthographic drawings display 3-dimensional objects in a 2-dimensional display, they have different ways of doing it. You are probably more familiar with the isometric cube, a cube drawn on paper. It shows the dimensions, but not very accurately. Orthographic drawings display a 3d object from the top, side, and front views.
