Find the equation, f(x) = a(x-h)2 + k, for a parabola that passes through the point (8,12) and has (6,10) as its vertex. What is the standard form of the equation?

For the x value flip the sign
f(x)=a(x-6)^2+10
Find a
12=a(8-6)^2+10
12=4a+10
12-10=4a
2=4a
a=2/4
a=0.5
y=0.5(x-6)^2+10
